Went Car Shopping Locally.

Well it only lead to "drive thru" shopping, but I checked at all the local private used car lots. And man do I hate living in an area where MOST people are afraid of foreign cars. What I found was a sea of, Sables, old rusty Foci, Impalas, and Ions...ew

But that is what happens when you live in a small town in the mid west where this is considered Sporty. Seriously there was one just like this at a dealership, that proudly claims "We don't deal in Imports." and it had a big banner on the windshield that read SPORTY . ugh

The worst part is there is one dealership that typically has a few used Subarus, and right now they have none, not one.

Probably the "coolest" car I found was a 07 Eclipse, but I'm not very fond of these bubble butts, and I'm not (supposed) to be looking at coupes.

Now I'm not saying I wouldn't buy American, but I dislike most American cars, especially when it comes to family sedans from 1990-2010(generally). But knowing I was going to find mostly domestics, I was hoping to find something like this.

or maybe a nice Panther, or even a nice 2wd Ranger with a stick.

2) Look at imports from another carmax and find one you like

3) Transfer car for ~$500

With the budget I'm looking at 500 dollars over the sale price would be a considerable increase. but if we were talking more like 10-20k I'd probably consider that. Althought the nearest Carmax is most likely about 4 hours away, and at that point I might as well spend a day in Minneapolis car shopping.

central mn here and typically not many people like imports we do have a little pack of import maniacs but domestics are king. In my high school alone there are 5 Grand Prix gtp's. On the other hand a grand am gt with a ram air v6 is a nice little car with some get-up and go don't sell it short. Don't bother going to Minneapolis just roll around the Duluth area and search.

The limo is a D-body, which is basically a B-body except Cadillac went "we can't share the same chassis as a Caprice". It's got plenty of room for passengers, it's low mileage... it's a great find!

Oh! Well, just show her the automatically sliding seats when you tilt them forwards, while I've never really been in the back seat, there's still plenty of space there.

If that doesn't work, just get a nice Roadmaster wagon with the LT1.
